Mandatory Update for Toughbook C1 4G LTE users

The Display Rotation Tool on the Toughbook CF-C1 must be updated to fully comply with FCC specifications and certifications if a 4G LTE module is installed.

I'm using the X61 with the build in Sierra Wireless MC5725 Modem. I've installed the drivers and everything else needed to run the device correctly except the Access Connection soft (not a big fan). Currently I'm running Windows 7 RTM (MSDN) 64bit Professional (alto I had the same problem on Vista Business 64bit).

This package contains the files needed for installing the WWAN driver. If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand existing ones. Download Sierra Wireless Modem drivers, firmware, bios, tools, utilities. Downloaded ‘WWAN Driver for EM7455’ from Panasonic support website and installed it. It shows that it’s at driver version.43-Downloaded ‘One-Click Bundle for Toughbook CF-33’ from Panasonic and installed it. This provided the Panasonic PC Settings Utility and GPS Viewer application. Configure and manage Sierra Wireless mobile broadband modems. This app provides easy access to the full capabilities of your Sierra Wireless hardware. Compatible with Sierra Wireless Mobile Broadband Driver Package v. 18.11.2.17 (or newer).

The new CSA 2.0 includes the most recent versions of carrier connection managers for AT&T and Verizon Wireless*. This version supports Gobi-1000 and Gobi-2000 for AT&T and Verizon on Windows XP and Windows Vista. Please note, that Verizon connection manager also supports Win 7. ACM (AT&T Communications Manager) supports Win7 on Gobi-2000 only. Upon availability, AT&T will provide an updated ACM with Gobi 1000 support on Win 7 in the near future.
